Zikr Allah September 27, 2014, 7:30 pm 1000 Urlin Ave. Suite 100

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You are the sky and I am the earth
astonished at what you grow inside my heart.
Dry-lipped and thirsty, only the grace of your rain
can turn the earth into a rose garden.
By you it is pregnant and only you know its burden.
It twists, it turns and sighs until
it gives birth to divine longing.
The Beloved takes care of his lovers
and feeds them generously.
Sometimes he ties them with the cord of reason
and sometimes he sets them free to dance.
Look at the meadow bursting with flowers
unable to contain its joy.
Look at the power of the Divine One
turning senseless dust into a sublime painting!
All we see is a veil of this never setting Sun,
this ancient Sun that will one day silently reveal
everything that has been planted.
Help requested for outreach events with Dances of Universal Peace
Greetings, Friends,
This is another plea for help if anyone is available and willing to support the outreach of the Dances of Universal Peace.  There are two back to back days where groups have asked our presence.
First is the annual EARTHDANCE day at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Dances are to be first on the docket at 4:00 p.m.
This means that there might not be many people right at 4, though they might start to trickle in.  So it means that supporting dancers are all the more needed to make a circle.
We will only dance about a half hour, but then people can stay as long as you wish for more dancing from different kinds of dance leaders and dance circles.  (The Jewish folk dance group last time was a treat.  They will be back.  And they gave us a good workout!  The Laughing Yoga half hour is returning as well.)
The second event is the following evening.  It is with a regional Enneagram retreat group that is meeting all weekend at Bergamo Center in Dayton. We’ll arrange a car pool to go and inshallah it will be as inspiring as the June event 8 of us enjoyed in Cincinnati with the Enneagram group of Central Ohio Valley (Some of them will be present this time at Bergamo.)  This is the closing evening of their retreat and is at 7:00 p.m.  We would probably leave around 5 p.m.
PLEASE CONSIDER THESE OUTREACH EVENTS AND IF YOU ARE ABLE TO GO TO EITHER ONE OR BOTH, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!  (Send email to: ereed@shalemcenter.org) Please share this email with anyone else you know who enjoys the Dances and might enjoy being a part of outreach.
Much love to all,
Munira
