Zikr Allah Friday April 3, 7pm

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let us fall in love again
and scatter gold dust all over the world.
Let us become a new spring
and feel the breeze drift in the heavens' scent.
Let us dress the earth in green,
and like the sap of a young tree
let the grace from within sustain us.
Let us carve gems out of our stony hearts
and let them light our path to Love.
The glance of Love is crystal clear
and we are blessed by its light.
We invite you to a special event. Pam Spence has worked to bring this offering to Unity in Community in Delaware and we look forward to this Sunday.
We like to think of this as an "interspiritual event" --- meaning we join together to experience (not think about or talk about) chants, prayers and/or movements from various spiritual streams.
Samuel Lewis, the Sufi teacher who founded the Dances of Universal Peace in the 1960s, held a vision that if people could "eat, dance, and pray together" across the differences (and WITH the richness of diversity) of our religious orientations, then this kind of experiential spiritual practice was one way (a mystic's path) to peace.
The Dances of Universal Peace (www.dancesofuniversalpeace.org)
are simple, meditative and joyous circle dances that celebrate the variety of religious traditions on earth. All chants and melodies and simple movements will be taught. No particular musical skills or movement skills are needed. All that is asked is you come with open and willing minds and hearts.
Everyone is welcome! It doesn't matter what your particular religious tradition or background is. All paths are welcome! Children are welcome to join the circle as they wish.
We look forward to seeing you there!
