We invite you to a special event. Pam Spence has worked to bring this offering to Unity in Community in Delaware and we look forward to this Sunday.

We like to think of this as an "interspiritual event" --- meaning we join together to experience (not think about or talk about) chants, prayers and/or movements from various spiritual streams.

Samuel Lewis, the Sufi teacher who founded the Dances of Universal Peace in the 1960s, held a vision that if people could "eat, dance, and pray together" across the differences (and WITH the richness of diversity) of our religious orientations, then this kind of experiential spiritual practice was one way (a mystic's path) to peace.

The Dances of Universal Peace (www.dancesofuniversalpeace.org)
are simple, meditative and joyous circle dances that celebrate the variety of religious traditions on earth. All chants and melodies and simple movements will be taught. No particular musical skills or movement skills are needed. All that is asked is you come with open and willing minds and hearts.

Everyone is welcome! It doesn't matter what your particular religious tradition or background is. All paths are welcome! Children are welcome to join the circle as they wish.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Zikr Allah, new date and time: Friday, March 6, 7:00 pm

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Just as staying at home is easy for some,
traveling comes easy to others.
Each of us was made for some particular work,
and the desire for that work has been placed in our hearts.
How should hand and foot be set in motion without desire?
If you see your desire leading toward Heaven,
unfold your wings to claim it;
but if you see your desire bends to the earth,
keep lamenting.
The wise weep in the beginning;
the foolish beat their heads at the end.
Discern the end from the beginning
so that you may not be repenting
when the Day of Reckoning arrives.
